Finally, Realme has launched Realme X7 series in India which consist of two smartphones Realme X7 5G and Realme X7 Pro. Today we are going to talk about Realme X7 5G smartphone which priced @ Rs19,999 for 6GB+128GB Variant while its 8GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs21,999.
Realme X7 is the first phone in India to come with Mediatek Dimensity 800u SoC which indeed is a very powerful chip in the given segment.
Display:
There is 6.4inch Super Amoled Display display in this device which support 180Hz Touch sampling rate but the actual refresh rate remains the standard 60Hz. But to be honest I am happy that Realme provided AMOLED display instead of an IPS LCD display with a higher refresh rate. Because in midrange I don't see much point of providing a higher refresh rate why can't manufacturers just provide a good Quality AMOLED display.
Overall I think in this area Realme has done a good job as always by providing an AMOLED display.
Performance:
Realme X7 is the first phone in India to come with Dimensity 800U Chip which is one of the best midrange chip present in the market right now.
It comes with 2x Cortex A76 (@ 2.4Ghz) and 6x Cortex A55 (@ 2.0Ghz) and is made on 7nm fabrication process. It has Mali-G57 MC4 GPU.
Now if we talk about its performance so this SoC is a very tough competitor of Snapdragon 750G or 765G because the performance of all three of this SoC is almost equal, you can't see the difference in real-world.And if we talk about benchmark than in CPU the snapdragon ones are better in benchmark and in GPU Mediatek density 800U is better though the difference n both CPU and GPU even in the benchmark is not that much which is why Performance is going to be so similar. So the performance in Realme X7 is going to be very good at the given price segment.
Camera :
This smartphone comes with triple camera setup because it doesn't have an extra 2mp useless depth sensor, but this doesn't mean it doesn't have a useless camera lens because there is a 2mp Macro lens which is basically useless for me. Then the remaining two lenses are useful as there is a 64Mp primary lens with an 8Mp Ultra wide-angle lens.
From 64Mp sensor, you can expect a very good quality just like other midrange Realme smartphone but I can't say it is best but instead, it has one of the best primary camera performance in the given segment because there are smartphone-like Xiaomi Mi 10i, Realme 7Pro and Samsung M51 which also provide a great camera performance in the given segment. While its 8Mp ultra-wide-angle lens can do a decent job but don't expect much from it just like other 8Mp ultra-wide lenses in the mid-range smartphones.
On the front, there is a 16Mp front camera which can provide good selfies from it.
Battery:
There is 4310 Mah battery with 50W fast charging support which can charge this phone from 0–50% in just 13 minutes. Now if we talk about its battery backup than this smartphone can provide you with a great battery backup even though it doesn't have that much large battery like Mi 10i(5000mah). This is because it has Amoled display which makes its display consume less battery and other this is its processor because Dimensity 800U is made of 7nm Process which make It a very efficient chip in the midrange market right now. So you will get a good battery backup in Realme X7 5G.
Verdict:
Overall if I talk about this smartphone I can say that Realme X7 5G is a really great smartphone in a 20k price point but there are many things we miss in this smartphone is that it doesn't have a headphone jack, there is no expandable storage option and like Realme 7Pro it doesn't come with a stereo speaker which I think if present would have made this best smartphone under 20k or 25k. Other than that I think still Realme X7 5G is one of the best smartphones under 25k you can get in India, so if you want a good performance, fabulous display with good camera performance you can go with Realme X7.
